Backyard From Brynnieg.

Dan and I have been working on improving our backyard for a while now and we are slowly making some good changes.

We looked through some of Dan's architectural magazines and created an "inspirations collage"....pics of things we want to include in our backyard renovations.

On Sunday, we went out in search of patio furniture and found a STEAL at target....originally priced at $200 a piece, we got our new patio furniture at $47 each!

Here's some of the improvements so far and a picture of our collage to see how far we've come to achieving our ideas.

Earthquake tonight couple miles from Livermore

Nice little 10 second rumble tonight. It was 2 miles from Sunol towards Livermore, which is only a couple miles from here. It was pretty fun.

3.7 on the Richter, 5 miles deep. It registers as the red dot on the picture attached.

I downloaded a movie Sin Nombre in HD, and we clicked play last night. The download speed was too slow and we were only able to watch 10 minutes last night before it caught up with the download. Tonight as soon as we returned home we turned on the movie, but couldn't finish it before the 24 hour expiration. Could you please refund so we can re download and watch again please

Summer -4 Camping at Butano SP

Got one! A camping day. Thanks Brynn. So there were no campsites available in CALIFORNIA for the 3 weeks prior to this trip, then 2 days before one popped up. As we were speaking to the guy there on the phone he said, sorry all full, while refreshing the website said... NOPE 1 more!

We spent some time in Pescadero which is tiny, population under 2000. We went to a dog friendly beach.... hmmmm, Oh Bean Hollow. I thought it was great. It was warm, although I was the only one who thought so. We tried our new surf rods, to no avail.

Camping was pretty awesome, we ate super well thanks to Brynn. It was like 4 star camp food.
Also we learned that the explosion from beer cans in the fire is epic, except for the 15 minutes of putting out burning embers in the forest.

It wasn't a heavy picture weekend, and like usual Brynn and I don't have any together, but here are a couple.

YUP its Tahoe Bitches Summer -2

Brynn and I had a bad ass tim in tahoe. Chillin with the locals. The McCrew in North Lake. Good times. Got to do a tour of the lake, and a little beach time at Zephyr Cove... Countdown, negative two weeks of good times during the summer. I'd definitely chalk this one up as a win. Don't forget the M's first time around the lake. BTW Tre Stone was a sleepy bad ass.

Speaking of deficant, the boobs that host. Tim should just end it. It would be more entertaining if he was a cutter. Tom Ford is a lame fatso, I think fatso as a term would make a comeback if it was just related to having to sit through a season 16 episode. Now sometimes he shows potential when he ditches hosting duties, but honestly is 2009 the year of lame.

Johnny. What happened. When you weren't constrained to your little 3 retarded tests, like this season, you were becoming a favorite and a reason to watch, but lately... Dude. I loved the old quirky, bio diesel Johnny. It is clear Tim and Tom are writing his scripts.

In short, Fifth Gear WAS a slightly less cool version of top Gear... lately, just a reason to delay starting your Top Gear episode... cause sometime when top Gear starts, you wish it would never end, and fifth gear just holds back the pain of hitting start, cause start means you will soon have a stop.... Fifth Gear is akin to a zit... a nasty sore to be popped, so that the normal bronzed muscular skin that shall be known as Top Gear can show itself again next week. Hope this makes its way to Five / BBC, cause we really want another quality show to hold us over between Top Gear episodes.

Stimulus Slight of Hand

Excited about the stimulus? Ohhh, that $13 per paycheck is going to be spent well, perhaps I'll enjoy a few more slurpees per month.
Well, $13 a check will fail to cover the proposed carbon tax in 2011 which will send gas up an estimated $1.30 per gallon.
But thats tertiary to what I want to share with you.
If you are on un employment, you get $25 a paycheck extra. A caller today told El Rushbo her unemployment after taxes is $2000 a month +.

MMMM Harley PIX

Thought I'd get up some posts from the Harley trip. Visited A and K for their wedding, grabbed a Road King Classic for the weekend. Pretty bitchin. In a nutshell, here's the crazy stuff. Slept on a Bench in IN. hotels... overated. Lost shades, rode with no shades. Hitchhiked, Found out ABS on a bike is nice.... Hinkles Hinkles Hinkles. Of course the Wickersham experience was great. Oh and got to feel what a stun shot from a blowdart feels like. Its Awesome FYI. So as Reno Raines from Renegade would travel... Not bad.

Here's how I figure McCain can pull off the win. I took the current Electoral College Map, and analyzed a few key states. FLA, NC, OH, CO and NM. These are currently in the Toss Up category. Well in NC, FL, CO it's advantage McCain, so I took those liberties. NM is a gonner, and OH has the possibility of going Red, so Basically if he can get Ohio, and split the rest of the toss ups, he's Good to Go.

Bad Day for Chemtrails

So I went out today about 11 am. Clear skies. Blue, sunny. Gonna be nice. 1 plane flying overhead. Mad this shirt, its another story. Then I looked up. 4 Chem trails. There hasn't been this much plane activity over my house ever. Normally a plane every few minutes. Maybe a chem, normally nothing. A contrail that disappears. All of the sudden, and don't tell me this is normal, I have two planes flying next to each other. like they are racing. And in a 2 hour span, I have more flight activity above the house than in a normal 4 day period. And boy are them chem trailing. I've got criss croses. The sky looks like a checkerboard. The pic of the chems crossing. That's the first time in history that two planes have flown that path above my house.

So here's the pix, say good bye to todays sun.Who wants to bet the weather report changes. This morning 90's all week. Nothing but sun. Topping out at 98. We'll see. What a bummer.

Just got this new light. It pretty much lights up the entire room. The cool thing is that at night, the lunar blue LED's pop on.

ITS BACK.

It was the best show I'd been to in 6 years. 4 times bigger than the last 5 years... at least. The swap was good, the show filled all the pavement. What more could you ask for.

Funny, it took 11 hours to get the bug ready to make it. Then It broke three times on the way... but in the end, as you can see. For the first time in 10 years. The bug made it. And stood among 8-10 other conv... yes the only other verts there.

And only 1 67' as well. The red beast I parked next to. Take a look at the jump for more shots from the show.



So I met a few people there I knew. Some complained, "Yea I didn't make it down. The.... broke down..." This is the general excuse. I saw more air cooled VW's at the side of the road SAT. Well. I sure as heck wasn't going to not make it. If I had to push the bug there. I would make it. That's the real spirit of old... almost 50 year old VW's I think. BTW plenty made it.

Heart iPods

So we gathered all the pods together today. However, some members were unable to join us. There was the 60 gig non color screen, that took a dive with the REX. Also, Matt is the current owner of the original 5 gig with manual click wheel. Classic!

Anyway, I have to have the docks for the pods, it's like a rite they deserve. So i finally broke down and got the $40 dock for the touch! Hey didn't these things use to come with cases, docks, and remotes... Man. At least they aren't $500 dollars anymore. Oh wait.

This post is a delaying tactic. See I have so many things to post about a pretty epic summer, but it takes so much time. So I am letting you know these things.

2. I am back into manual photography. Too many lenses. Had to go back. It's pretty awesome. I am going to take 100 rolls of film in the next 8 months.


That's all I have about the pictures.

But I do think that Magnum PI should be rerun. Partially because season 6 is taking 2 days so far to download. Also. I want a Ferrari 308 GTS. That's Magnum's ride. The GTB, you may wonder is the hardtop, see, you need targa tops when running a classic Ferr. Also I am not going to tell you that a Ferrari 308 GTS is 26,000, yes less than a new Accord, because I don't want everyone finding out and buying up all the Ferrari's. But 1st. I need a bigger garage.

Kelley Park 2007

Went to the Swap and Car Show at Kelley Park. This used to be the premier event in Northern California, however, every year less people attend. At one point I remember when you couldn't fit another car in the event. Now, The center circle doesn't even fill up. Too Bad. I think there just aren't that many interested VW owners anymore.

They should move the event to a later time of year. The event is always marred by bad weather. Oh well.

I was the first person I know to get an iPod. The 1st Gen 5 GB. Since then I've had 6 of them. I always feel like when I have my iPod its like people can tell I was the early adopter. I should realize people probably think I'm just like everybody else....

Made it, March's Meatless Miracle

Well I made it 31 days. Took a challenge with a friend and went Meatless and Drinkless for all of March.

The big gain was really a loss, 10 lbs in 20 days... But I also started rock climbing, and excercising, and putting back on the lbs in a good way.

It was neat, admittedly needed the challenge buddy, thx Tim, otherwise I would have folded on the 5th day.

I think that some of the salty dogs of the digital realm might have lost the online photo sharing piece. For the newbie My Spacers, maybe not, but I just found flickr mobile, flickr.com/mob. It is a great way to share your photos anywhere you go, and on any mobile device with a browser.

New Setup

A small re arrangement on the desk recently. Got this 20 inch from Chris (thanks). Combined with the mighty mouse of desktops, the mac mini, and what ever Carried over, this is a pretty happenin little setup. I have another gig of ram in the mail that should make me fairly satisfied for a while.

NO MORE WRX

My little car, almost perfect. Fast, and my home away from home, well... Here's the official. Went over the embankment, not a straight down cliff, nor down a hill... somewhere inbetween. Car flipped mulitple times landing on the roof near a stream. Somehow I ended up on the road where the Ambulance seemed to arrive near instantly. It was later that I learned, that The ambulance took about 30 minutes, and I don't know if i emerged from the car after a short time, knocked out, or if I was on the street quickly.

The 3 wreckers needed 100 ft of cable to get the car up the cliff/hill. I presumably escaped from the car (window or door) but don't remember how, and ran up the hill. On the stretcher I found out that I salvaged my laptop from the wreckage.

That's that, now in the market for a new ride.

How many il 50's do you need. Four is about right. There infinity's were originally 1800 a set. I managed to grab my new black set to compliment the tan ones for 200 bucks.

This is exactly what I want. THe new quad G5, two 30 inch displays, 16 gb of ram, you know the basics...So I guess I'll crack my piggy bank and go get one, unless some relative wants to know my Christmas list.

Just in case you were wondering Here's what I am using this week. 7610, can't leave home w/o it. BB7250. In order to feel important I have decided I always need a blackberry. This is the latest, w/BT, andcolor screen with pix. My weekend phone V 70 has carried into the week, as it is just so cute. Last my new LG8100. WOW, awesome phone, CDMA is comin up. I have full movies on it, plus mp3's. The stereo speakers are beyond sufficient.

Exhaust Upgrade

I was really thinking about switching from my current Borla Hush setup to this bitchin setup. Let me know if you agree that this is pretty sick. Infact, I picked up some other good ideas here LINK I highly suggest you check it out.

Stupid Headset

You know i was so bummed about this headset. The moto hs 850. Everybody in the world has it and i will be indistinguisable from the masses. They will not know that i am an uber gadget guy, they will think i am some run of the mill, 5 years to adopt anything loser. When many are exited, "i got a blue tooth phone." people won't know i have had a bt phone for over 4 years already and am always with the latest and unknown. But... This headset is so damn good, i have to use it. Battery is awesome. Never drops connection, and auto connects when you flip open the boom.

Yea, this was pretty cool. So loud. I have a video, but don't know how to get it up... any suggestions? Cars were breaking their suspension from the rough San Jose streets going 180 mph over the light rail tracks.

What does a car say about its driver... Typically huge trucks = loser... Same with any rice mobiles, and once in a while you come across some car that affirms the inherent cool-ness of its owner. This is one example.

Sidekick for Me

So i am now a sidekick user. All my other phones are unlocked so I still can use other phones, but the big to do here is that i have now switched over. I am a T mobile user, now that i don't have free at&t. I did pretty good, 3000 minutes and unlimited text and email... Push email... For 70 a month. So wish me luck.

He he, So I checked out a working model of the new 7100 blackberry, and was fairly impressed. Basically it is a 7280 with a color screen, bluetooth radio, and predictive text rather than qwerty. Same processor and everything.

Oh and I met Shannon Elizabeth.

Yea, ogo is coming. Exciting device. I can't wait to get one. The skivvy is all three im's. I am going to call it a sidekick killer. Graphics are awesome, sound is great, cute sounds when opening and closing. Can't wait.
